For eighty years CPRE has worked at National, Regional and County level to represent everyone concerned to maintain the beauty of the countryside.
West Midlands CPRE is one of nine CPRE Regional Groups which supports both local branches and our national office as they seek to influence policies which affect the countryside and wider environment.
In the past we have worked to ensure and that regional policies on transport, economics, housing and rural policy do not spoil the 80% of our region which is rural.
With the abolition of many Regional Bodies by the new Government and the setting up of new arrangements, such as Local Enterprise Partnerships, we are reviewing our operations to ensure we are targeting our effort where it can be most effective.
We work in co-operation with other like-minded groups through the West Midlands Regional Sustainability Forum.
West Midlands CPRE is supported by one full time Regional Policy Officer
and a band of dedicated volunteers. Click here to see
our team leaders.
You can contact us if you
would like further information about what we do or if you would like to
help us.
If you have a more local problem you can contact one of the five West
Midlands County Branches.
