West Midlands CPRE is one of nine CPRE Regional Groups which seeks
to influence regional policies which effect the countryside and
wider environment of the region.
For example, we are trying to ensure the Regional Spatial Strategy
and Regional Economic Strategy help protect the 80% of the region
which is rural and that regional policies on transport, economics,
housing and rural policy do not undermine the countryside.
We work hard to influence key bodies such as the Regional Assembly
and Advantage West Midlands and work in co-operation with other
like-minded groups through the West Midlands Regional Sustainability
Forum.
West Midlands CPRE is supported by one full time Regional Policy
Officer and a band of dedicated volunteers.
